Classic Hammer horror with Ingrid Pitt as an ageing Countess who finds that if she drinks the blood of virgins, she becomes youthful and woos a young soldier. Plenty of the usual Hammer trappings: hammy acting by a solid British cast, plenty of sauce and the occasional bit of nudity. Is it scary? Not at all but it's still an enjoyable slice of cinema from a production company who always deliver fine entertainment.

Cracking conspiracy thriller about the first manned landing on Mars, only it's a set-up in a hidden studio. Things go wrong when tragic events occur leaving the astronauts running for their lives. Peter Hyams film may have some dodgy dialogue but it's gripping and tense and thanks to a terrific cast led by Elliott Gould, it's a film that still packs a punch forty years later.

John Wayne western has him playing a land owner going up against corrupt Forrest Tucker. A perfect slice of typical western action where all the boxes are ticked, from gunfights to cattle stealing and throw in Billy The Kid for good measure. Not the best Wayne film but has plenty to enjoy and passes the time nicely.

Documentary from Louis Theroux as he investigates the church of Scientology...except they are not allowing him to interview or film any members. With the help of an ex-member and a group of actors, they try to show what goes on. Then things start getting very dark. Ater a slow start, this picks up as it gets more sinister. Not as good as Alex Gibney's Going Clear but still fascinating.

Based on the true story of James, a homeless man and struggling former junkie, whose life is turned around when he finds a cat named Bob. The pair becomes inseparable and because of Bob, James finds that people of more interested in them both. A very sweet-natured film whose heart is in the right place. A little contrived in places but on the whole, harmless entertainment.

Live-action remake of the Manga comic which caused controversy after the casting of Scarlett Johansson. An android assassin with the brain of a human is sent to stop a cyber terrorist but soon discovers that there were lies about how she became. With terrific visuals and some solid action sequences, this is a far better film than expected, thanks to some respect for the source material and Johansson's screen persona.
